No one likes to see a forum with no posts and especially if its the Bassist forum.

So lets get the ball rolling with a thread to highlight those "Killer" bass performances.

I shall put forward a track from the 1989 album entitled Mr Big (by the band of the same name).

The opening track "Addicted to the Rush" featuring that master of the bass Mr Billy Sheehan.

Worth a listen I reckon, he really was a showman, and this track displays him in full on mode. I saw him play at Hammersmith in the early 1990's when he performed one song where he and Dave Gilbert (lead guitar) performed solos' using electric drills!

So thats my one to listen to, lets have some more epic bassline choices.

If its got more than five strings its got too many!

I dutifully listened to that this morning - even though I'm no bass player 8-)

Load of great bassists are/were around. John Entwistle in The Who -- check out any version of Won't Get Fooled Again. JPJ of Zep, of course. Mark in Level 42. Can't think of his name but the bassist in the Blockheads -- hellova funky groover, that guy.
